Language Development Lab!

Our research focuses on the perceptual, behavioural, and neuro-cognitive processes that support language development across the lifespan (from early childhood to late adulthood), with a specific focus on reading.

 

We examine these processes in several populations with different linguistic and cognitive profiles, including neurotypical monolinguals, bilinguals, and multilinguals; individuals with neuro-developmental language and learning disorders; and individuals with  neuro-degenerative aging and psychiatric disorders.

We employ a variety of experimental techniques in our research, including eye-tracking, electroencephalography (EEG), and response-based tasks.
